Our Thanksgiving tradition starts before sunrise. Cathy and I drive up to Boston, pick up Casey at Logan mid morning, and then get J.P. at B.C.

We have lunch at Longfellow's Wayside Inn in Sudbury.

Then we head out for Cathy's brother's summer home at the Cape.

We all gather together in the living room before Thanksgiving dinner. From Cathy's parents there are now 54 people - children and spouses, grandchildren and spouses, and great grandchildren...

...and a lot of them are very young.

Cathy's aunt, the current matriach, is pictured sitting. Cathy plays the matriachial role this afternoon for the prayer. Cathy's sister-in-law, our hostess, stands to the right.

We all go to the clubhouse for a Thanksgiving buffet.

Cranberry bogs as seen from the clubhouse.

Tennis court and field house.

We try to get in as much walking as possible this weekend.

Some of us have to stay at the villas.

The youngest...the 54th person to enter the family.

All good things must come to an end. Saturday Cathy and I drove Casey and J.P. into Boston for the B.C. - Miami game. Then Casey flew back to U.M, J.P. was already at college, and Cathy and I drove home.
